Importantly, MACHS results are not free-a $15 fee, plus a small digital convenience charge, applies. Moreover, the search does not return closed records, such as arrests beyond 30 days from the date of arrest where no formal charges have been filed and charges that have been nolle prossed, dismissed, or adjudicated not guilty in a court of law.
Reviewing closed or complete records requires a positive fingerprint match, and such access is restricted to the subject of the record and legally eligible entities (for example, a state licensing body). Jefferson County Probate Records
Probate is a court proceeding in which the court supervises the administration and distribution of a decedent's estate, including assets, to the rightful heirs or beneficiaries. There is no dedicated probate court in Jefferson County. Instead, the Circuit Court absorbs that jurisdiction as part of its lawful mandate. The court also presides over determinations of guardianships or conservatorships for minors and adults.
